The Bare Foot ManA Poem by Troy HensonTo walk in one’s shoes…
Putting on my shoes wondering just how
I’ll face the day Tying my shoe laces thinking about how I’ll walk, which way Feeling every step, I ponder one thing as I’m walking along How do I become the best version of me to remain strong Languishing without a fathers hand to guide me home Searching within, often I feel I’ve failed in my walk alone It’s not until I take off my shoes, take a breath with bare feet that I understand It’s not the shoes you wear but the way you carry yourself that make a decent man. © 2025 Troy HensonReviews
