Dark

Dark

A Poem by Faith Almazan

I hate to think that you
   touched me angry
   all I see
is the future I will have
   the misery you will bring
     is endless,
      it's endless
all you give me is bad.
From day one you were like this,
now you question why I'm mad?

Alcohol
  defensiveness
   inability to understand
You're driving me crazy
I don't think you're a man.
You're a leech,
you're a waste
of my money and my time.
I lament in my room
   when I think of July.
I cry and I cry
   in the dark
   and I pray
that the pain in my heart
   will leave me today.
But it won't
it won't go
it won't leave me, you see?
I'm screaming for help,
   but you don't see me.
You only see yourself
   you never noticed I fell.
The longer you keep me
   I'll be living in hell
