Business of Love.

Business of Love.

A Poem by Hari D

You love me?

He asked.

What do you feel about me?

He inquired.

You have no feelings!

She fired.

You never seem to care!

She continued.

You may be a nice person but..............

She hurt him.

All through the time, he was mowed down.

The overwhelming feeling of love had paralyzed him.

Standing in awe of her every time he met her,

The times were good, when there was everything he had asked for.

But with the love becoming a formality, he was left to wonder ...........

Was this the thing I had opted.

Is this really a thing or a real emotion?

It did not make sense.

Invest so much time and thought to one emotion,

With less gain but loads of pain.

Pains of futility, pains of high expectations,

Pains of understanding, pains of not understanding.

Pains of justification, pains of clarification,

Pains of arrogance, pains of ignorance.

Thoughts of getting lost,

Going to plains to wander.

Giving a space for the self.

The Business of Loving was not really reaping what he had hoped.

The Entrepreneur had died.
