Doubt

Doubt

A Poem by SpiceCookie
"

When you're in the middle of writing a book and doubt comes along to erase everything...

"
On a clear sunlit day,
a single dark cloud shadows the busy town of a mind.
The cloud spreads and grows,
then drops heavy rain onto the city.

The rain floods the streets,
washing away ideas and plans.
It drowns confindence and hope,
so it can be the center of attention.

After a long while,
the sky is clear again.
But now it is the peaceful night, and
everything is erased, gone.

Experiencing some doubt right now, and hoping that I'll get over it and this won't happen! Hope you liked! :)

I liked it, this describes every writers' mind. I've felt it plenty of times, but it always works out. The metaphors give a nice touch, and feeling to the poem. Good job!
