Darkness of the Storm

Darkness of the Storm

A Poem by SpiceCookie
"

I won't look. I can't look. I will never find what is lost.

"
Shaking.
Roaring skies.
A flash of lightning.
Frigid hail pelting down.
A whirlwind of wind.

Then darkness.

I won't look.
I can't look.
I will never find what is lost.

My friends.
My family.
My home.
My faith that the heavens will save us.

My dreams.

The storm's rage goes on.
It will not stop, it will never be satisfied until everything is lost.
Gone.

But my own rage has been stolen.
It has left me.
Replaced with grief.
Depression.
A torn, screaming heart.

And these things cannot stop the storm.
For the storm is the darkness.
And the storm has taken me.
I am darkness.

And in the world of the storm,
there is no light.
No hope.
No escape.

I will be there,
in the abyss of nothing.

With
my friends.
My family.
My home.
My faith that the heavens will save us.

My dreams.

I will be lost too.

And nothing can save me.
