SmileA Poem by Donald Meikle
Were you ever alone really alone?
No one to worry about No one to care No one to guide, point the way, advise. It doesnt take a desert Or a barren wasteland It can happen on a city street At a busy time of day Your phone battery went dead or You slept through three stops What to do first? Relax Smile look around How many people are wishing? For what you have? Dont worry No one will ever know Try to stop smiling You were never alone © 2008 Donald MeikleReviews
