Dealer's Choice

Dealer's Choice

A Poem by Donald Meikle

Passions past and the sadness settles in
whispers never
Its so fast we just started to begin
Nows not ever
Nothing we can do lasts forever
Were leaving all the time
Why so blue
Its exactly what we knew
Was going to happen
Teenage love is just experimental
Couples getting down to elemental
And then its gone
life goes on
But nothings quite the same
If you want to play the game
Know what youre trying to win
When passions past
And the gladness settles in
