Poetry

A Poem by Donald Meikle
"

yes

"
The solace of solitude
Countering loneliness
Acceptance of hesitant hope
Leaning on winds of time
To steady and balance
The uncertain skill on a rope
We are born and we die
Alone to defy
The ages of echoing tides
Displaying interminable art
Stubbornly standing apart
Wise future sages
Look down through the ages
Noting
At best its a start

It's that damn finish you got to worry about. This is pure poetry. Lilting and lifting along on the read as you go. Well done.
