Pass the Hoe Down

Pass the Hoe Down

A Poem by Donald Meikle

If this is all there is
No God
No paradise
No Hell
Only this
And if everyone was aware
Of this
Would a man with the capability
Destroy it
On a whim?
Why not?
If this is all we get
Why not enjoy it?
This could be
This may be
Eden
We may even enjoy
Gardening
For a while
If a while is
All of it

I'd have to get rid of all the pest first. What an interesting thought you have penned. Good write.
