' Time flies ~ Without air control men ~ on a one-way flight route ~ Memories comfort us ' What a great handful of last lines, running on from a touching look into non-friendship ending in sadness. Your work has varying degrees of strength, always clear, always with heart.

THat's incredibly emotive. You've penned this so eloquently. How one minute, decades ago, you're not even friends. The next, you're bereaved of a close friend. A brilliant write and sorry for your loss.
