Castles and Clouds

Castles and Clouds

A Poem by Donald Meikle
"

a bit of Blarney

"

Hanging

Legs held

Bending body to knees

All for the stony taste of misty rain

So words can flow again

through

Celtic lips in celtic air

Or better yet

To find them in this dancing newborn mind

And use to satisfy this prancing stubborn  muse

On another foggy flight of fancy

I like the imagery in this. Muses and misty rain - a terrific write.

if the stone must be kissed..your muse is bending your body as well as your mind.. :)

your muse isn't stubborn here, quite cooperative indeed. you've captured the essence of poetry right here on paper. Excellent, Donald.

Smiling into the reality of the scene .. tis true .. a flight of fancy indeed but a harmless one - unless you get a sudden rush of blood to the head! Wonderful words, ' .. Or better yet ~ To find them in this dancing newborn mind .. '
