Adrift

Adrift

A Poem by Donald Meikle

Adrift in ponder

Mind in yonder

Still I wander

Far to see

 As once I wandered

Far to sea

Now  can stay

And yet be free

Adrift in

Winds of Wonder

Free

With thee.

Sounds like you truly are a sailor home from the sea. I'm glad you have found contentment on dry land.

Ah Donald! It is wonderful to feel this rapturous glow of older love. It is a healing, forgiving, boundless love that rewards those who remain together. It lasts to and beyond the grave. I think of my wife and smile. This poem methinks flags this common feeling.

Wonderfully wonderful .. a brevity of scene and thought., melodic, romantic and philosophical - and more. Lovely!

A wonderful piece, with so much truth in the words chosen. Adventure fills the mind with memories, that may later let a mind wonder with soulful happiness.

Definitely mellow and soft. I'd love to go on a journey such as this one...cleansing all the way to one's core....

This has a very nice rhtythm and a quiet, sure confidence. It's like a little song I would sing to put me in a better mood. You have a wonderful way with the ditty. Thanks for sharing!
