just a moment

just a moment

A Poem by Donald Meikle
"

dealing with it

"

Let me sit in a warm rain

leaning slightly into cooling breezes

feeling water running down my teared face

Thinking fiercely of nothing

Not even the sharp granite edge

grinding into my buttocks

alone

In an unseen unheard clouded crowd

knowing

wetly

I'll turn me on again

just not

just yet

This is a sigh of a poem and beautiful with it. Can't see you doing this at Pier head though somehow.

hahaha yes yes I laughed at the sharp granite edge grinding into one's buttocks - for yes it is there for sure it is there and yes one can certainly feell it - but to be able to switch off and away from the all that encompasses the reality we set before ourselves - well that is certainly a treatworthy time and space ..

its funny because these words you have laid out here took me staright back to my Vipassana experience - twas a ten day silent meditation in the Blue Mountains, no phones, no reading, no looking at others in the eyes, no touching, ten hours a day of meditation and the rest in silent contemplation - to go within - up at 4:30am each morning to the sound of a gong with a kick start two hour session of on ya bum and no deviating meditation - a strict one no less - one of the hardest things I have ever done - but also most certainly one of the best - like pausing in a long long moment - just like your granite in bum poem

just not - just yet - yes let us be left a while longer "Please Do Not Disturb"

ahhhhhhhh and on the exhale .....

gorgeous poem - love it X

I wax poetic to let others see and feel what I use to live. Liverpool was my Vipassana experienceread more
We need such wonderfully selfish and all too brief moments! Life sweeps us along, people to see, places to go, commitments to focus upon et al. That sat.sitting ' .. In an unseen unheard clouded crowd.. ' is a touch of re.birth.. and you write about it so gently, clearly. Tis beautifully refreshing in itself.

aint pause buttons awesome and so easily pushed!
that ocean of feeling we swim (and float and sink) in is moved by currents of wind and tide that carry us where they will, and we must go where that hugest part of us takes us, and sits us down or moves us on by the larger facts of our own depths...truth is, we belong to our feelings (not entirely, but enough to make a lot of scar tissue
