Identity crisis

A Poem by Linda alexander
"

This poem is dedicated to my senior college friend Shinelal Viswambharan. Finding identity gives you more potentials

"
Are we searching and digging deep
Is it really sorting out and eliminating
May be meant to meet identity and true self
Can we true yourself and to become a friend

Will you look in to soul and shape it
Can you marry the true yourself and a strong bond
Can we attain serenity sanity and relax
Can we Fly like a kite to heights

Will we able to your identity and the role
Can we serve the needy with positiveness
May be ponder in to deep positive thoughts
May ride your life with no hurry or worry

It was Socrates who said, “Beyond all else know your self.” I feel that I have limitations in this endeavor, and so I see myself in great part as a mystery. I seem to function according to what I must do logically to be a member of a harmonious society that protects and nurtures.

All for finding the identity and true self
Find the true yourself and be friendly

Amiable true yourself and shape it
Marry the true yourself and a strong bond

- very deep, figurative lines. Sense of wise unification depicted very well. :)

Self-understanding comes with a challenge when one succumbs to messages bombarded by the world. We are all seeking our purpose at some point in our lives but it will eventually lead to living a life for others - for in the faces of others, we see a reflection of ourselves.

A good positive message. Something to ponder, to dig deep, to relax and attain, to discover our identity. A splendid poem and a good tribute to your friend...:)
