In my Garden

In my Garden

A Poem by Linda alexander

Memories both good and bad emerged like incessant embers.
My heart partially burnt in those embers and still survived.
I placed my heart in my garden and roamed there for something.
A blue jay looked at me and red robin flew as he was too busy to be with me.

Good or bad, they hurt. Indeed, gardening has fresh breaths. Lovely poem

I was thinking maybe "embers"?

I really like the last line...I live on a street named for that jay...and red robins fly by all the time.
