Reminds me of roses on ice with champagne... romantics are underrated.

I'm not really too broken... but I know back pain. Sciatica and the like.  I had some misfortune while I served, nothing crushing, I can walk.  It's miserable when your core is debilitated though, the back is a b***h.  Ugh. When it hurts to sit and lie down the meaning of life is degraded just a bit.
 
But pain is purifying and hell can wait.
 
I always sound like an a*****e when I talk about hell... I'm an atheist, it just doesn't jibe.
 
Even still, pain is purifying and if there is a hell, I'll see you there.  Let the falls run bloody over white.

I'm not really too broken either but I did get slammed in the back by two cars failing to stop in time. Pain sure is purifying, thank you for reminding me, I tend to curse its presence quite a lot instead...

Yes the meaning of life is degraded when you're curled up in a ball whimpering... There are moments though - this may count as one of them - when life, despite any amount of pain, is preferable to no life at all.
