All is Frigid in the DarkA Poem by Davidgeo.a fight for glory among younger brothers when wounded weak we pray to mother a fool's escape, that was my father from younger men, fit for battle retired some there's no respite for the breathing long or the dying calm the living end ending wrong no one here does live forever if disgrace this be my town and country forever more i'll hate my pride but burn this bright my fuel of life to feel a way among the shadows with a compass fucked before it mattered i'll find a way for me to see my way of life that nothing matters i do remain in shameful tatters this here is glory full of fight my sweet respite for dying brothers a fight for nothing that does still matter all is gone but not my tatters what's left of something what some call nothing some days my fire seems so free my great bright lie that this cost was free not ever then nor never now all is frigid in the dark but a bootstrap fury will take us through it a cost that's great some past remembered our battle scars shall set us free to see the stars in all their glory if all must suffer even you and even me for a light that's deadly full of fury i'll gladly pay to see tomorrow with all we've done who needs a god? with all we've done it seems so silly to let a book pray upon my tomorrow (i'll finish this later, maybe) © 2016 DavidgeoReviews
