God loves a trier, or so they say. I personally don't think much to that God fellow, he seems to bring out the worst in folk!
I'm more a blagger than trier, managing to climb the odd career ladder on the back of " I can do that" when most times I can't but think "f**k it, how difficult can it be ?"
Good morning David, hope you are well.

God also loves a tyrant as long as it's in his name. It's probably a good thing that dude isn't real.

It's a wound that either heals naturally or... you're just kinda fucked and will always suffer a little bit at any given time for the rest of your life. Your lucky your mum was a good one that raised an emotionally healthy son (I could be wrong about that, I don't know you that well but, I'm usually right about these things). Whenever tragedy strikes me, I tend to write about mountains. The beauty of inanimate nature tends to even it all out. . . it's all something lovely or dying for it; nature is both mother, father, savior and murderer and it is beautiful.

It is indeed. I know many a woman that can make a mountain from a molehill :))
This is the first I've read of yours, and enjoyed it.
Some focus so much on the end result they wish to achieve, they fail to enjoy the process.
Others will try something time and time again, and find strength in resilience.
Great write, David.
Some describe doing something again and again as madness and may be it is but just because you get became result a thousand times, doesn't mean you will the 1001st time. The wind may blow different that day.
I kept thinking of resilience here David. Some people have it. They just have the capacity to bounce back time and time again. How do they do that I ask myself? If you could bottle that you would be a wealthy man. Greetings from across the pond.

The mind controls the body, we can everyone of us do far more than we think we can on any given day under almost any given circumstance... if we try hard enough, for long enough, every single living human being is capable of shocking themselves with what they can accomplish. I don't think it's ever been bottled but a short acting powder form exists that the stupidest of the cool kids like to call cocaine.

You are right about discomfort. Some people can't handle it at all. They will resort to booze or drugs to deal with it.
