to negotiate the main obstacle

accumulate great advantage

acquire a position to act upon all

though remain in a station to meddle on none

and expand boundless but intrude nowhere

let the jewels remain buried in the mountain

find worth in both pride and in shame

design great ability to conquer nothing

this is true greatness

a light in the absolute darkness

unnamed 

a great wealth left unspent

walking nameless

along a road heavily traveled

gaining everything

but keeping nothing

learning only to teach

making great leaps

over great distance

for no reasons at all

Loved it, same with Carlos. I enjoyed the meaning there presented in a way that shares a perspective I haven't seen or heard of, but somehow agree with. Great read, you sound like a philosopher from a century back in this one. It's really good.

Thank you RJ. This was influenced by a sociologist named C Wright Mills (from a book called 'the power elite') and a trappist monk named Thomas Merton (I forget the name of the text, I'll get back to you on that one).
