Is the speaker perceiving accurately, or is this panic based on a difficult past? The word "again" in line 4 may indicate this has happened before. This is the time to keep cool and let events unfold.

Unfortunately accurate. Like having an answer but not knowing the question. Some people can only see themselves in their partner, which means no one is really a partner in that relationship. It's one of the main reasons why BPD is better than NPD. People with NPD are less likely to make real connections with people.

Why is that

Half of what I write is pandering or gaming an adrevenue system, the other half is a waste of an educational background that was supposed to be achieved to help people, This is the only writing of value that i do. The other stuff is trash, anyone could pull it off if they knew how to play in that particular 'sandbox".

I sound more maudlin than I really am. It's just annoying how creativity works out now. I think the objectively good things get underplayed for the shiny things... which aren't always bad (I'm a taylor swift fan) but, they tend to lead to mediocrity. Art will be one long commercial eventually I think. The original part will be how they get you to pay for the same thing.

For me writing is a compulsion to capture moments or feelings. It's a plus if others like my work but I'd write the same either way.
