This piece reminds me, thematically, of an old song "you show me yours, hun, and I'll show you mine".
It's about getting down to the marrow and meeting each other there... "ain't nothin' sweeter than naked emotion..." goes the song.

I feel like this piece tends that way,.. and I can quite appreciate that.
