I very much so took this poem as a musing on how society always wants to promote the "latest and greatest" of everything, like its the thing missing to make the individual happy. This new iPhone, that new drug, this new - that new - all new - brand new ... its alot to take in! And it sure is a struggle to the typical human being, who is just wanting to be happy, but told its wrong to be happy without the shiniest toy in the box. I really enjoyed this, but Ive found with your work I usually do.

I don't think we are satisfied unless we are strugglin for something.
And if it comes too easily, we don't appreciate it.

Real life lies in the struggle I think. Any reward we get might just a perk of participation.
