I love poetry like this beacause it invokes the question of both the physical and symbolic relationship that one may have with ingestion. You do such a great job in highlighting the complexity of this relationship while also -- ironically -- making the poem extremely digestible and easy to follow. A beautiful, minimalist piece, straight to the point without being overbearing.

Humans seem to enjoy bad food and fucked up memories. Not all of us, but, given the chance most of us forget about consequence when the taste is right. Thank you for your review. I'm glad this was digestible. I like it when my food is digestible.
A little unrelated, I forgot how good Barbara Streisand could sing... I wasn't going to write anything today and this doesn't have that much to do with the song Memories but, it was totally the reason I decided to write today. Her voice is quite inspirational. Her mouth must be pleased.
😂This poem made me laugh and then made me think. I love how you turned a simple act of eating into a reflection on memory, consequence, and regret. "The body reminds, the mouth of regrets" is such a perfect closer; wry, true, and quietly brilliant! Thanks for serving up something so digestible and deep!

And those regrets can come most often from what the mouth said.
Nifty little piece here, David.
