There's something elegantly disorienting about this poem. I love how it questions the nature of answers, equations, and choices, all through abstract language that invites more feeling than solving. It’s like walking in a circle, thinking you've progressed in a straight line. Well done, Davidgeo.

That idea of repetition too vast for any one lifetime to witness, that’s poetic in its own paradox. And the “meat wagon” vs. “meat loaf” line? Equal parts hilarious and existential dread. You’ve now got me imagining eternity as one long, spiraling equation we briefly touch before time folds us back into stardust.

It’s always shifting, like looking through a keyhole at a revolving universe. I get what you mean about flat earthers… frustrating, yes, but their skepticism comes from that same human craving to make sense of the unknowable. Maybe we’re all just cartographers in the fog, mapping what light allows.
And maybe that humble “I don’t know” is the wisest place to stand--especially when circles keep turning into spirals and answers dissolve into new equations. I’m starting to think unknowing is the real compass.

The landscape we are mapping can be hard to see outside of established boundaries. Have you ever read anything by H P Lovecraft? Lovecraft’s impact on genre and philosophy is undeniable; his imagination carved deep into Sci-Fi’s bones. At the same time, I’ve read about the problematic parts of his legacy too. I think it’s fair to hold space for artistic influence and acknowledge the flaws in the person behind it. Always a strange tension, but awareness makes the conversation richer.

The idea of unknowable intelligence looming at the edges of comprehension? That’s AI-flavored existentialism for sure. It’s wild how fiction sometimes sketches the blueprint before reality catches up.
This has been such a thought-stretching ride, Davidgeo, thanks for all the deep dives!

I find this poem quite odd, yet brilliant in its way. The poem itself is an equation such that each reader will perhaps plug in their own life experiences for X and Y and obtain their own answer Z. MSB
This poem is clever and thoughtful. I like how it mixes math with emotion, like using equations to talk about deeper things in life. It feels smart and a little mysterious. Nice work!
