but finding what's inside is the only way to really unbind us from what is stalking us...conscience is often not enough...we must open up and explore the possibilities, follow the clues like Hercule Peroit ...

But what you find inside will always be tempered by what you run into outside. In real life, we never truly grasp what our intentions really are after all things are considered. We will always have questions in retrospect. To ever actually become one with our "stalker" would defeat the purpose of our existence. The true nightmare "existence" might be what happens after we find too much insight into our own intentions. The cognitive dissonance might be crippling. I highly recommend the movie Stalker, it's not the most riveting piece of cinema but the cinematography is uniquely beautiful and... it is a highly insightful movie if you read about it beforehand. The first couple times I watched this movie was purely for the cinematography and mythos. It's in Russian and the story telling is very opaque as Tarkovsky loves to do it... but, if you know what you are in for I think Stalker is one of best sci fi/existential philosophy films of all time.
I get this... it feels so real. We all keep looking for peace or answers outside, when the truth is they’re missing inside us. And when we don’t find them, we end up repeating the same search again and again.

A nice scene you've explained here about Total Recall. I can picture the scene a little bit just from your explanation.
Nice work though. Keep it up!

That movie in particular is especially unique, look into how it was made, what they went through to finally finish it and what eventually happened to many of those who stuck around to finish it. It's a very interesting part of cinematic history.

It will be a personal revelation. Everyone "understands" that movie a little differently. Which I think was the point Tarkovsky was trying to make. What we seek to understand in ourself and if we do that honestly we will have a better understanding of the outside, the other. We are all looking for something very similar and "it" probably doesn't exist... the searching part is real though. That's probably the only thing that's real.

We all share something we cannot explain. Our efforts to understand may be our true commonality.
