no solution

A Poem by Davidgeo
"

human mathematics

"
the end was never ours
much like the beginning
in between we go
from one, plus one
we make 2
our very soul
from the difference
between the sentence
of one,
 plus one
from the inevitable
equation
forces combine
(to disappear)
into solution
without numbers
as everything goes
much like the beginning
the end was never ours

This one had me at the word mathematics - this is impressive work that feels like proof and philosophy molded into just over 15 lines.
Your equation is incomplete though. You've given us 1 + 1 = 2, but what you're really describing is a transformation function where human existence maps onto itself through recursive operations and discrete mathematics - the gap between n and n+1 that contains all of infinity.
This poem is like a closed loop in mathematics itself - a system that returns to its initial conditions, acknowledging that we exist within the equation rather than controlling it. We're variables, not the mathematician.
