Taco Bell Wizard

Taco Bell Wizard

A Poem by Davidgeo
"

.

"
the mind is a stage
from the ghetto
into paradise
back into chaos
pursue this further
you will see
good is defined by evil
or is it evil is defined by good?
we will see
always eventually
we do see
how from the light
we define darkness
far across time
burned inside the mind
buried deep below the stage
something hard to remember
still harder to forget,
how the angel inside you
it is also a demon
what it is that you seek
is it defined by what repels you?

I love this. I particularly liked 'something hard to remember/even harder to forget.' That's a succinct and accurate description of the human mind when it comes to matters of great importance. I'm not sure if it was purposeful or not, but I picked up on a calling on Hegel's dialectic (a thing or concept needing both of their possible states to emerge), which prompts a new sort of appreciation for all things.

Laozi 老子, Dao De Jing道德经, Chapter 2第二章

The world knows beauty as beauty, so ugliness exists;
The world knows good as good, so bad exists。
Existence and absence are born together,
Difficult and easy created together,
Long and short are relative,
High and low in opposition,
Sound and voice harmonize,
Before and after follow。

You tapped into the same perennial source of wisdom.

It's all perception and perspective... and one - coin. Life-by-viewpoint. It takes some a life's time to understand.

first came good. none of us knew what evil was until a line was crossed. sometimes we want hot sauce and other times not - maybe that's why drive thru's were created. nicely simmered food for thought.

This is one of the best works on dichotomy I've ever read. Which variable is the independent one because one of them must be dependent on it.

Hi David ji,

If we think we have mind and mouth to speak nasty then definitely you will eat poop too and it will not take a day because it is already digested ...

Be careful when you are misusing your body parts don't think that nobody is watching you...

Hi Jessy. It's always so nice to hear from you.
Honestly, your work is amazing. It is deep and I feel like people should write more like this. It makes the world more...real. I love how it has a bit a darkness, but there's still light that moves around it as well. It's very thoughtful, and I really don't see why JayG thought it wasn't good.

Thank you. I appreciate it. Fight the darkness.
Yes! We will see!
You have me coming more into the light.
I believe in you.

DavidGeorge a deep well with lots of fissures to investigate, to patch or destroy completely.
I love how it moves between chaos and clarity, light and darkness, exploring the duality within the mind. The free-flowing structure mirrors the internal struggle beautifully, making it both thought-provoking and immersive.
