I did know that. Only non avian dino's went extinct. It's not just roosters that are related to the dino's... the entire bird family, they are all of them dinosaurs. Spend some time face to face with a cassowary bird or a harpey eagle or an ostrich or... dude, birds are terrifying. Imagine giant land versions of them? That land is a hellscape for primates. Have you ever scene an owl eat its prey? Scale that up and you have nightmare fuel for long times. Devil dog
