This poem is short, punchy, and raw. It has a kind of velvet-and-thorn vibe—starting soft with “a beautifully lingering velvet existence” and then hitting hard with the weight of exploitation, violence, and the reality of inequality. The abrupt, almost frustrated ending (“... what the f**k man?”) gives it a very human, real reaction, like the speaker is both reflecting and rebelling at the absurdity of it all. It’s brief but hits with shock and emotion, leaving the reader thinking about the contrast between beauty and harsh reality.
my math never comes out high enough. I add up to be the remainder in a division experiment.

His take on multiplication in particular... I think you will feel better about your personal math skills after going down the Terrance Howard 1X1=2 rabbit hole.

Old Jean Rousseau is actually the originator of that phrase a couple decades before, "At length I remembered the last resort of a great princess who, when told that the peasants had no bread, replied: "Then let them eat brioches.""... it comes from one of the first formal autobiographies of all time, Confessions. I don't recomend actually readint the whole thing, that dude is painfully pretentious and I'm pretty sure most of it is made up anyway. F****n' Jean-Jocs... I have a feeling for all his genius he was insufferable to be around.
