Peggy and Jane (finished!!)

Peggy and Jane were sitting on Jane's floral green bed. Jane sighed. “I don’t know how to kiss,”

“You don’t?”

“No, I need to know how,”

“Why?”

Jane looked up and crossed her leg. “I don’t know,”

“I don’t know,” Peggy repeats in a whisper. “Okay, maybe until you figure it out…”

“Just exist…here,”

Peggy looked at Jane. Her eyes sparkled like water in moonlight. She had never looked more beautiful. 

“I don’t know how to kiss,” Peggy said with a smile. Peggy leaned forward and Jane's short dark hair barely fell over her shoulder as she leaned into Peggy. 

“I want to be with you always, Peanut,” Jane whispered. 

Jane was so close to Peggy that she could smell her candy cane hair conditioner. Peggy inhaled. “Mm, then that’s where you’ll always be. With me, until the sun burns into a white star..”

“What then?” Jane asked, her lips near Peggy’s rosy red cheek and her voice high. 

Peggy giggled softly and nervously,  but didn’t move. “Then we freeze together and when the Earth falls…”

“Wh-what happens then??!” Jane sat up on the bed, the wood creaking. 

Peggy giggled again. “We fall and we fall forever through the universe,” she whispered. 

Jane leaned her head onto Peggy’s chest, warmth filling her ears. “Mm, what a beautiful life we get to live. Through the universe forever. Mm, I can’t wait to die,”
