chapter one: ❤️A whisper of gentle love🩷

be still and know that i am god

“Did you hear that?” Tanya asked, sitting up on her bed.

Her curly brown hair was all over her head and she had so many sleepies in her eyes, she could barely see. Tanya rubbed her eyes and placed a hand on her girlfriend’s back, Ginger, who continued to snore.

Tanya looked around, then out the window. Her puzzled face softened. She knew she was safe. She knew God was talking to her.

Tanya smiled, closed her eyes, and listened to the birds chirp and love. “Mm,”

After a few moments of breath work and deep meditation, her hand still on Ginger’s back, rubbing gently in circles with her thumb, Tanya opened her eyes and admired Ginger. Her stillness made her calm and she breathed in and out three times.

Tanya looked at her watch. 6:25am

Tanya smirked softly. She reached over to her bedside table and grabbed her yellow journal and began writing:

We ought to love more like the birds.

be more careless an carefree like the birds.

jump and dance like bunnies and not worry who is watching us !

Jesus loves me. i know he does. he sees how hard im trying. my mother and father in heaven, my lord, they are loving. they are not hateful, abusive, or distant. they are loving and they give me hugs always! i’m so glad i have parents as loving as they…

just then, soft red curls tickled the freckled arm of Tanya. A kiss, soft, and warm, landed on her shoulder and she smiled, unable to focus her mind on her writing. Tanya allows distractions of love because they are love. She hadn’t gotten that much so she developed a little self care routine and mentality and sticks to it: i let myself feel love. i let myself receive love. there is nothing i can’t do. i have love all around me.

there is peace in my heart. we will return to our work soon, let’s take a break now, and enjoy this peace. i’m only 24 once.
