I Wish That I

I came back

I wish that I could be like a bird

Soaring higher from my bed

I wish that I could be like my mother

Strong delicate like a flower

I wish that I could be like the sky

Because everyone loves it

I wish that I could be like a teen

Not throwing rocks at the end of the hallway

 

He's just a human

But no one gets that

They all seem to hurt him

But he stands up with a battle cry

He's nice to everyone

But it seems that’s not enough

 

I wish that I could be like a light

Not a shadow in the night

I wish that I could be like a cloud

Floating above earth's sound

I wish that I could be like my sisters

Stronger than a lion or tiger

I wish that I could be myself

Not living from others expectations

I wish that I could be heard

Not taken like a joke

 

She's just another human

She seems like a nice person

But inside, she's a dying ocean

She's beautiful like a rose

But she doesn't get it

She's as smart as anyone around her

She's better then she thinks

 

 I wish that I could be like my mother

Beautiful and silent

I wish that I could be like a mountain

So everyone would look up to me

I wish that I could be like myself

Stop think nonsense from this world

I wish that I could be like myself

Not thinking about others whom don't know

I wish that I could be like Jesus

Giving hope and joy to my people

I wish that I could like a Friday

Everyone would enjoy being with me

I wish that I could put this thoughts to work

So in real life I would be different

Just reading your words tells me many of the things that you wish for in this piece you have achieved or will as you become more a man than a boy. Your flow and content are great with a message to me of someone that wants to step in and help someone bullied, but are unable to step further into the situation.

Be supportive and show you care and that will give strength. Well Done. Even if I don't get it.

Stepping into a situation on impulse does not benefit you. You have to pick your time and how you help. Support is often all that is needed.

Don't we always imagine that we are outside of the box, while in reality we are as stuck as most others? I love how you aspire to ideals, but at the same time realise that we remain limited by being who we are.....
