Darkness

Faking it

Darkness is my escape.
Within its embrace sadness seeps out
unbeknownst to any who look this way.
The strain of an un felt smile
No longer has to play upon my lips.
The temporary pain of unbidden anger
Is laid to rest in the blackness.
