Goodbye
A Poem by Leo
When you are gone and far away,
I will watch everything disappear...
You were there, Your mind was not. Eyes tearing off into the sunset. Cheeks brushed gently by the sneaking rays.
I was there, With words to say -
Goodbye, farewell... If I may...no, I must not...
Clawing at those escaping moments, Trying to stretch them in vain. You go!
Into the sunset you love so much.
I stay... When you are gone and far away, I will watch everything disappear,
Crumbling with the last breath of our day.

Beautiful. Really captures the pain inherent in losing a loved one, this shows through most in the second stanza, the effort it takes to say no more aloud is palpable. Great stuff, keep it up!
