Last Thoughts

A Poem by Brandon Houser

Seasons change
When people don't
Feelings fade
Where memories won't
They only hide
In the end of the day
And the fall of the night
While mirrors break
And reflections stay
Emotion stalks
Where shadows sway
In a backward wind
Blowing where it's never been
A clear road of wrong and right
No place to die or fight
Or remember
With all your might
Just what you forget
Last thoughts
On broken bets
That don't pay out
To a life in debt
Bankrupt on all our faults
It all comes
To a sudden HALT!

About
Not sure what to add here. I have been writing poems since I was 16. Saved much of it, lost some of it. I'm 51 now. Lately I have felt a need to get my voice out there. I guess like a lot of .. more..
