Ocean Of Tears

Ocean Of Tears

A Poem by Brandon Houser

If I could take
All of your tears
I'd form from them
An ocean
On which nobody
Would dare sail
It would be yours
To flow free upon
A current
That never fails
A wave
The never breaks
From tears
The world cannot shake
And waterfalls
That drown the sadness
Of years lost
In the whirlpool
Being there
Didn't make you a fool
You had to learn to swim
So close your eyes
Face the current
And with your strength
Begin again
You don't have to float
You can walk on water
After all
It was made from your tears

Nice poem, your poem reminds the reader that tears can be transferred into power, as the ocean shows freedom/ renewal.

It is quite uplifting " You had to learn to swim
So close your eyes
Face the current
And with your strength
Begin again.."

Thanks for sharing.

I love this! Giving inspiration to sadness. I will think about your words the next time I cry.

Thank you for stopping by!
Turning sorrow into a sea that steadies rather than swallows. Its moves with a soft gravity.... currents that hold, waterfalls that rinse old ache clean.
The gentlest truth sits at the center.

Survival was never foolish.

And the final lift... walking on water made from one’s own tears...lands like a small, earned miracle.

About
Not sure what to add here. I have been writing poems since I was 16. Saved much of it, lost some of it. I'm 51 now. Lately I have felt a need to get my voice out there. I guess like a lot of .. more..
