Whisper

Whisper

A Poem by Brandon Houser

Whisper to me the places
We have not yet found
It is time to go before
To feel inside the traces
Lingering so deep
Where surrender begs explore

Whisper to me the measure
We have yet to breathe
It is time to breathe in deep
To claim all of the spaces
Buried in the damp
Where the silence yields to heat

Whisper to me the mercy
We have yet to grant
It is time to rest in now
To beg for all the longing
We have yet to share
Is it time we find out how?

This poem is sensual and feels intimate with the use of whispers. It asks for greater sharing and intimacy very nicely done

This feels so soft and patient. I love how the quiet in it opens. Your gentleness really shines here, Brandon. The whole piece feels like a quiet mercy... You make the whisper feel like a promise.
