So This Is Goodbye

Just a typical teenage poem about saying goodbye

I don't want to say goodbye

But I'm afraid this is the end.

I'm start going now,

though you never were my friend.

 

I can't keep loving you,

when you don't love me back.

Why is it I'm not good enough?

What is it that I lack?

 

I don't want to be sad anymore

Thats why I have to leave

I must get going now

Because it's getting harder to breathe.

 

I know that you are hurting,

Because I am hurting too.

I can't take this abuse anymore

For once, I'm the one leaving you.

 

But through my tears I laugh

Because my friends make me glad

That I am here today

And survived the times we had.

What a sad poem (and I loved the rhyming), and you were right this is one of the main over-worn topics here at the cafe. Yet, you too are using your passion to make yourself a better writer. Digging deep allows you to select words and phrases that have meaning and wanting more you begin to expand your vocabulary, your use of English, and your self. For talent is only part a given, the most is hard work and many hours re-trying and editing.
