Forbidden Romance

This is the poem that I love the best. I hope you all enjoy it!

Virtue, unholy aptitude

A walk along the river

Silence isn't so golden

As the sun rises in the east

 

The lips of a lover, once stolen

The heart of giving altruism

The mind of ego-enriched plagiarisms

Stop to enjoy the weather

 

The attractiveness of soft skin

Two hands of true faiths

Pick the price of forbidden love

Unrealistic ending, but compelling

 

Daylight hours provide

Beautiful tulips in June

Time is a short reality of lust

as the moon rises in the west

This piece was enjoyable. The language was colourful and soft -nice to read.

My only genuine complaint was that while I enjoyed the somewhat vagueness, and open feeling to it, it also felt somewhat empty. Almost like a really good soft drink. Tastes great, but little nutritional value in the long run.

Not to say this piece is bad in any way, its not. I think it just could have been more.

And me being the obsessive type that I am, couldn't look past the typo in 'daylight', but that's just a personal issue, really.

I like this poem a lot. " Time is a short reality of lust" very true my dear. I like how the first part ends with " as the sun rises in the east" and the last " as the moon rises in the west" that's a nice touch. This poem makes me want to grab the hand of a beautiful gal and walk around barefoot in someone elses garden on a hot summer night smoking cigarettes and kissing under the full moon. Lol No im just kidding but it is a good write...well done.
