Waiting

Waiting

A Poem by Rainy420

The waiting was easy
When our love was new
I lived and breathed
For the time I spent
With you
I waited for you and
Your sparkling blue eyes
I waited for you
Like a Christmas surprise
I don't know just when
The wait got so long
I looked around one day
And realized that
I'm always alone
I'm waiting to reclaim
A love grown cold
I'm waiting for nothing
And I'm just getting old.

This is an amazing piece. I related to it greatly. I like the last line, "I'm just getting old." Good stuff.
