It captures the quiet tension between wanting to stay unseen and fearing the exposure of the outside world.

I bloom in shadows, 

safe beneath the watching leaves 

the light feels too loud.

This is a lovely senryu.
The last line is a kicker...for many
the light is too loud and so they hide in the silence.

I forget the difference between the two, but it looks like a haiku or seryu poem...

Simple, but profound ....I liked the way you compare the light and shade....seeking shelter when the light is too much.....
