Goodnight Sally

A Poem by Scarlett Brooke

Goodnight Sally, says mother sweetly, 
As she tucks the bed so neatly.
 

A kiss upon Sally's cheek,
 
And now it's time to fall asleep.
 

Sally's eyes begin to close,
 
And a snore comes from her nose.
 

That's when The Littles snuggle free,
 
From Sally's arms for all to see.
 

"Come out! Come out!" a whispered shout,
 
Has The Littles sneak on out


The Littles sing The Littles dance,
 
But every night they take a chance.
 

 

For if a Little sings too shrill

Or can’t stop dancing to stand still

 

Then little Sally just might wake

And that’s a Little’s big mistake

 

So next time it’s time for bed

To get tucked in and rest your head

 

Know that when your deep asleep

That’s when the Littles come to meet
