Everyday I wake.

Everyday I wake.

A Poem by Scarlett Brooke

Everyday I wake.
For some reason I still exist.
Emma doesn't, but I do.
And I don't know why.
When things happen, like I get turbulence in an airplane, I wonder to myself, why it matters if I die.
What am I holding on to anyway?
I don't wish to pass.
I just don't know why I'm alive when she isn't.
