Survival

There's a difference between living and surviving.

Living is the pursuit of a lifestyle of a specified type,

like a surfer, choosing their waves.

Surviving is the continuing to live or exist

especially in spite of danger or hardship,

like a wave, it here without choice.

Everyone around me is living while I am surviving.

I continue to survive so the can continue to live.

For them my survival is like a wave to surfers.

Without the wave they are unable to surf sufficiently

thus without my survival they cannot sufficiently live.

I am an ocean wave.

One day I am perfect and chosen by all,

I survive for them.

The next I am imperfect and chosen by none,

I survive despite them.

I continue to survive so they can continue to live.
