Career Day

It was career day at the school. Everyone brought their parent to school. Phillip brought his father up first. He talked about how his father was a dockworker down by the marina. Next were Jonathan and his father. He went on about his father being a lawyer and putting the bad men behind bars. But when it became Mary's turn. She didn't have a parent with her. She came to the front of the class and said that her daddy was a super hero. All the kids chuckled. The teacher asked "A superhero? Are you sure that's what he is?" She said, "Yes. He saved a lot of people from burning buildings that were trying to hurt them." The teacher then said, "Oh, you mean he's a fireman? That's good. He must be at the fire station?" She then told her "Yeah, I haven't seen him in awhile. I hope he comes home soon. Mommy really misses him."
