ARROGANCEA Story by Lourdes PessettoIll pride is poisonous for oneself and society. Comparing "breeds feelings of envy" and low self-esteem.When ill pride prevails, your character tends to live in a world of delirium. With temperament one is born, while the character is educable, formed and modified; you learn to control through external manifestations. Ill pride is a feeling of superiority, distant and with contempt towards others. Healthy pride comes from a good self-esteem, it only values our own persona-not generated from the comparison of others, but from the honest validation and humility with oneself; thus allowing, to value your achievements, qualities, and virtues. The pride that is generated through arrogance and vanity lacks the ability to respect and recognize the qualities and value of others. Ill pride is
poisonous for oneself and society. Be proud for your authenticity and
accomplishments with humility, not from comparing yourself with others, as
comparing "breeds feelings of envy" and low self-esteem. Perhaps the
direction and focus of your life may be for your own peace and serenity, with
joy in your heart, and above all, with deep appreciation for each day, each
breath and lived experiences; always keeping in mind that in our last breath,
we will only take the memories we built with honesty, with a good conscience,
and with a good heart. With Love, Lourdes © 2021 Lourdes PessettoFeatured Review
