Extacy

The offensiveness of the strobe lights die down to a flicker as my eyes adjust.
The music commands my body to bounce and juke as the bass tries to shake my marrow into jelly.
I dance next to a lovely girl.  
We later slide down a half pipe while sparking a bowl.
Nobody cares as the indoor skate park becomes an emporium where lights and sounds distort the properties of time.
She smiles at me in the valley of the pipe, the black light altering and illuminating her face.
I cannot help but smile back.
The road is expanding and contracting as if taking in deep breaths on the drive back.
She falls asleep as I hold back the fear of being swallowed up into the blacktop and steel.
I want to stroke her cheek but refrain from doing so.
It may have been the extacy but even still I doubt she knows how I feel.
