Panic Attack

Panic Attack

A Poem by luciddreamer

Sweaty palms, rapid heart beat

Fear pouring in and out of the thick skin

Been so long since this has happened to me

Thought I kicked that evil right in the teeth

Washing my face, checking the mirror

Making sure what stares back isn't a demon

Feeling like I'm suffocating, loosing my breath

My mind starts lying to me, but this time I fight back

I scream as loud as I can inside my head

It's a lie look here's the truth and when I'm done

I"m done shaking

done praying

done got through

another panic attack........

This happened to me once.
I don't know if I could bear it again.
Thanks for sharing this, I cannot imagine having to deal with such things on a regular basis.
