I Wish to be a Bird

I wish to be a bird, and fly away from this place

I wish to be a bird, and fly away from life's race.

Not only do I wish to fly,

But I wish to know what it's like to not be able to cry.

A bird knows no emotion,

a bird only knows how to be free,

A bird doesn't know what it's like

to want to scream.

Birds do have emotion. I seen mama birds looking for their babies. I seen them fight large cats to protect their home. I believe the advantage of being a bird is you are free to escape in flight. Freedom of flight would be very cool. I like the story and the desire of the excellent poem.

I like the sentiment a lot. I don't feel the same about birds though so it's hard in that respect. There is a line in a song I like that says "before I knew that pigeons cried and sanctified the hopelessness inside". I believe that their feelings are there like ours.
