"why do you take such long showers?"

its been a while, hi guys. ive changed a bit.

i think that maybe
the hot water
could scorch the sadness out of my skin
until it is raw and red
but emptied of your touch

and that maybe
the soap will soak into my bones
and break the hold you had in me,
snap the hope i had in you

but when i step out
and my soul drips onto the bathmat
the air is as cold
as you were
